Weirdest thing about ticks... When I lived in Colorado the only time I can recall finding a tick was during the middle of winter.
First year in Oklahoma I couldn't keep them off the Corgis. EVERY time they'd go out into the yard they'd carry ticks back inside...even when treated with Frontline. Many of them were so tiny they could barely be seen. It was a constant battle. This year I started them on Simparica (an oral) and I haven't seen a tick all year. These little guys are very hard to find: ![]() |

Avon Skin So Soft. Put some in the pets bath water, it repels fleas and ticks on pets. Also, sprinkle Brewer's Yeast on pet food helps.

whoa... tiny!
When I lived in NC, I had the exterminator out every month to spray the yard. No other way to stay ahead of fleas and ticks. _________________ _________________ A Rainbow Bridge for Pinecammers. I've found a few ticks in the house in the winter months in my Bailey days. I figured they were in the load of split wood brought in, getting more mobile once in the warm house. Just a thought. _________________ Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole. Roger Caras |

My fur babies have never had any issues with ticks in Colorado. When we lived in Phoenix, Arizona, my late husband and I constantly removed ticks from them; the brown as well as the gray ticks. Ohhhh how I hate those things. To this day, I still naturally feel through each of my dog's fur every day ensuring those dreaded ticks have not latched on. And thankfully none of my fur babies have had that aweful experience.
