Ingredients:

2 1/3 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup Karo corn syrup
1 can Eagle brand sweetened condensed milk

1/2 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Cooking Instructions:

Cook over medium heat

Stir constantly until 240 on candy thermometer

Remove from heat

Add vanilla and chopped nuts (optional)

Turn immediately into buttered 9 X 9 or 10 X 13" pan

These caramels are soft, creamy, melt-in-your mouth caramels.
