I like your little scale too. Might need to invest in one of those.

Might be hard to find. I bought it years ago at Costco. A few years back I searched for them to give to my adult kids, never found any.
It is a nice size kitchen scale, 7.5" diameter and goes up to 11 lbs.

I have a very similar one, but a different brand.

I bought mine on Amazon for less than $10. It is very handy and takes up very little space.

These are some of the tomatoes and peppers my wife and I harvested over the past two weeks and today.

The green ones in the tub are from two 55 Acre tomato plants in the hoop house which we have been covering but the plants were dying back quickly and they were still very green. She got these seeds free but they did not get here until 4/20 so they got a late start next year we will grow them again and start earlier.

Beautiful variety of colors on those tomatoes!

I made salsa verde with my green tomatoes this year. Yum!

Well it looks like I better expect temps to drop below 35 every night now until next June. So I'll wrap up the outside garden over the next week or so. Then get ready to put down the winter mulch.

All I have left to harvest outside is the last of the kale, lettuce, broccoli and perhaps a couple more strawberries. Very few of the seeds I planted for a fall garden survived as I was too inconsistant in watering them. Oh well... I've given up on them entirely now.

In the greenhouse, I still have ~2 dozen tomatoes that need to ripen up (not counting the cherry tomatoes - too many to count). I also have more cucumbers growing. So I will let the heater kick on at 50 until they ripen or mid-Oct, which ever comes first. Then I'll be done growing out there for the season.

It's been a very sucessful season for me. Growing fewer tomato plants was a really good choice. I also did much better than usual at timing the succession planting this season.

Overall, some things did better than expected (strawberries, pak choi and lettuce), some things did worse than expected (zucchini, garlic and outdoor tomatoes) and everything else did basically as expected.

I'm not going to plant garlic this fall, but I may try to start some ginger in the house this winter and then transplant them out in the greenhouse when I transplant the tomatoes.

Amended the bed I cleaned out last weekend and planted my garlic today. I had quite of few cloves where the paper skin tore, more than usual. Didn't plant them, instead they went to the kitchen. Does anyone know if this is related to drying the heads too long? Snapped the photo below before pushing them into the ground.

Also harvested the rest of the tomatoes since Conifer may get a frost mid week. I suppose I could have left them out there but I am mentally ready to call it done for the season. That Fred's Tie Dye tomato really pumped out a lot of tomatoes for a dwarf plant. The biggest fruit in the photo below is 1 1/2 pounds. Fred's are on the left of the photo, Stupice in the middle, and Sweet 100s on the right, planted one plant of each. It will be interesting to see how well the Fred's will ripen off the vine. I suspect some of the smaller ones may not.

I still have leeks, onions, kale, herbs, lettuce, and spinach going in the garden.

Garlic.....you have reminded me to try some. The tomatoes look stupicious! LOL
I can't believe we are still watering. I'm over it. Plan to pull the rest of the tomatoes this week as well! I started indoor greens in the basement with grow lights. I'm so stuck on home grown greens, I just don't want to buy them anymore. Here's to 2023 gardening!
