Lost Password

Many Pinecammers were logged in automatically in the Pinecam phpBB 2 forum; that automatic login will not work with the Pinecam phpBB3 forum. The first time you visit the Pinecam phpBB 3 forum, you must login with your username and password. You can elect to be automatically logged into the Pinecam phpBB 3 forum when you enter your login information, if you allow cookies to be set in your browser.

• If you do not remember your password, on the login window, click on "I forgot my password". Enter your Pinecam username and the email address you entered for the Pinecam forum. An email will be sent to you with the subject "New password activation". This email will contain a new password for you and a link to the Pinecam forums to activate your new password.
  
• If you do not remember your password and you do not remember what email address you used for the Pinecam forums, contact the Pinecam System Administrators. They will work with you to correct your profile information.

Change Your Pinecam Forum Password

1. Login into the Pinecam forum
2. In the gray menu bar under the Pinecam banner, click on "User Control Panel"
3. In the links on the right side, under "Options", click on "Profile"
4. In the links on the right side, under "Options", click on "Edit account settings"
5. Enter your new password in the two password fields and your current password and click on "Submit"
6. Your password is now changed.

Change Your Pinecam Forum Email

1. Login into the Pinecam forum
2. In the gray menu bar under the Pinecam banner, click on "User Control Panel"
3. In the links on the right side, under "Options", click on "Profile"
4. In the links on the right side, under "Options", click on "Edit account settings"
5. Enter your new email address in the two email fields and your current password and click on "Submit"
6. Your email is now changed.

Change Your Pinecam Forum Avatar

1. Login into the Pinecam forum
2. In the gray menu bar under the Pinecam banner, click on "User Control Panel"
3. In the links on the right side, under "Options", click on "Profile"
4. In the links on the right side, under "Options", click on "Edit avatar"
5. You may either upload an avatar image from your PC or choose from the Local Gallery
6. Click on "Submit"
7. Your avatar is now changed

Send a Private Message

1. Login into the Pinecam forum
2. You can choose which Pinecammer to send your private message to in three ways:
   
   1. If the Pinecammer allows Private Messages, click on "PM" below a topic post the Pinecammer wrote.
   2. Click on the Pinecammer's username and if the Pinecammer allows Private Messages, click on "PM" in the "Contact" area
   3. In the gray menu bar under the Pinecam banner, click on "User Control Panel" In the user control panel:
      
      • In the right links, click on "Private messages"
      • In the right links, click on "Compose message"
      • In the top right box titled "Send to Usernames:", add or find one or more usernames.
      • Click on "Add[To]"
3. Add a subject
4. Add your message
5. Click on "Submit"
6. Your Private Message is sent

Ignore All Posts by a Pinecammer

1. Login into the Pinecam forum
2. In the gray menu bar under the Pinecam banner, click on "User Control Panel"
3. In the links on the right side, under "Options", click on "Friends & Foes"
4. In the links on the right side, under "Options", click on "Manage Foes"
5. In the box labeled "Add new foes", type in or find one or more user names
6. Click on "Submit"
7. You will not see posts by any Pinecammer you included in your Foes List

Report an Offending Post

1. Login into the Pinecam forum
2. When you are reading an offending post, click on the button with an ! (exclamation mark)
3. You will see a new window titled "Report This Post'
4. In the text area, type in why you think a post is offending
5. Click on "Submit"
6. The Pinecam Moderators will be sent a message and will decide what to do with the post.

Add an Image to a Post or Private Message

You may add in image to your post by uploading an image to any image hosting website and adding the image URL inclosed by . However, Pinecam has a new, easy upload feature that you may use. At the bottom of a new post or private message, in the line containing "Submit", click on "Upload Image". Follow the instructions on the webpage that opens.

"Watch" a Topic

When you are reading a topic where you want to know when anyone adds a new post, click on "Subscribe topic" under the "post reply" button. To stop watching a subscribed topic, click on "unsubscribe topic" under the "post reply" button.

"Watch" a Forum

This is new in phpBB 3. If you have a favorite forum where you want to know when anyone adds a new topic or post, click on the forum name. Under the 'new topic' button, click on "Subscribe forum". To stop watching a forum, under the "new topic" button, click on "Unscribe forum"
