Appleby Fire Update:
per command fire was knocked down approximately 30 minutes ago, overhaul currently underway.

Two #pcfpd firefighters have been transported to Denver metro area hospitals one via ground ambulance one via air #flightforlife with non life threatening injuries that were sustained during firefighting operations.
Further information to follow.

Appleby fire update:
#PCFPD crews have currently been on scene along with investigators. There was report of another small fire on an exterior wall earlier this am, fire was fully extinguished.

This scene as well as the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Update on #PCFPD injured firefighter's;

One of our firefighters was discharged early this am and is recovering at home.
Our other firefighter remains hospitalized and is being treated for serious, however non life threatening injuries as well as 2nd and 3rd degree burns.

This just breaks my heart. I taught many of these young people in middle school in Park County. My deepest thoughts and prayers go out to this young man! After losing my 39 year old son over a year ago, this sort of thing hits deep and hard. All my best to this young man and his family!
