Snow, I am so very sorry for your and your family's loss. I know how painful it is to lose a parent. Your Father was a true American hero who served our country with honor and bravery. We thank him in our prayers.

That is so true - my Dad was also a WWII vet - he died almost 20 years ago and I still miss him.
Rak - you are correct - they truly were the real heroes! My thoughts and prayers are with you snow. You will always have his memories. |

Snow, my father shared the Iwo Jima battle with your father. In addition my dad went up against the Japanese on Guadalcanal, Bougainville and Guam. He passed away in 2007 after losing a battle with cancer.

Thank you and yes, we never got tired of hearing the stories of what went on during the war.
As he neared the end we heard more of those stories that he kept inside of him all these years not wanting to burden the family with the tragic things he had kept to himself. He was so proud to have served his country he is my Hero! |

Snow, we are thinking and praying for you! My Dad served in the USAF in the 1940s and brother served aboard USS Arizona and lived to tell. Your Dad was a very great man!!!

Lost my Dad recently too. He served during Korea ,Vietnam. Hope you can find comfort in the love you shared with him.
