Give a shout to the power company and see what they can do as far as cking transformers, etc.
Cause with the moisture and temp changes of the past few months a Transf going bad can exhibit this hum.
And be prepared for the always exciting transformer blow up !
didn't know bout the expletives in video - sorry

Another possible source may be the recirculating pump in a hot tub. My neighbor kept his hot tub outside and its electric motor running producing a low frequency hum that I could hear 400 feet from my house.

Yep, same here. I only hear it at night when all is still. Took me awhile before I realized what it was. If you listen long enough you will hear it click off.

From what I remember, I was hearing it during the afternoon. Also, I always felt it sounded like it was generated by something electrical. That's why I thought it was from a shop or garage. It was kinda like a giant Tesla coil, but with a lower frequency and no popping or crackling sound.

Exactly, not sure any of the neighbors have hot tubs.... IREA "says" they came out and checked but I never saw them, I have to talk to the supervisor tomorrow to get them to approve an inspection.... crossing fingers!!

If you're having problems sleeping due to the hum, you might want to check out some sort of white noise machine. It sounds weird, trying to override one noise with another, but it does work.

Possibly a large grow operation close by. They use a lot of electricity for their lights. The huge electric draw can cause a hum in the lines. There are a lot of grow operations up there. Any houses close by with all the windows covered or blacked out? A rental that looks deserted?
