We had Geo Water try to sell us a water softener system to raise our ph. We told them to take a hike and we bought and installed a calcite tank ourselves and got our ph from 6.2 to 7.0
Do your homework so you will know if you are being taken for ride. here is a good place to start https://www.cdc.gov/healthywater/drinki ... radon.html this is who we got our neutralizer tank from. They are VERY knowledgeable. You may want to call them and get some insight https://www.midatlanticwater.net/blog/radon-water _________________ _________________ A Rainbow Bridge for Pinecammers. You might call Chuck Minott with Aegis Water Systems.
706 Graphite Way, Superior, CO 80027 (303) 543-9600 https://www.homeadvisor.com/sp/aegis-water-systems I bought a whole house softener/filter from him several years back which worked really well for my last house near Tiny Town. Checked with him not long ago about getting the new version of my old system for my current house in KV. He had one which is supposed to be able to remove radio active particulates and was reasonably priced for everything it does, ~ $2250ish. I don't recall any details other than Nasa used it on space shuttles. Ultimately I passed on it since Kings Valley upgraded their system with an industrial strength filter that specifically removes radioactive particulates. Had they not done so I would have had Chuck install the new version of my old softener/filter. Hope this helps, Lion _________________ Listen to your heart and proceed with confidence! |

Simply "Google How to remove Radon from water"
and you will find that there is only one Practical way to remove radon from domestic water (Charcoal filtering) The other option (whole house aeration) is not very practical Also be aware that the risk from radon is only in inhaling the gas so your exposure is mostly from taking a shower as opposed to taking a bath. Especially if you fill the bathtub and have a nearby window open as Radon dissipates very readily in free air I am assuming you have had a Radon screen test in your home and mitigated that if the levels were excessive Radon in the air is much more of an issue than it is in water _________________ If things seem to be under control You simply are not going fast enough Mario Andretti |

Yes we have mitigation for the indoor air. And yes we are mostly concerned about inhaling radon during showers. Thanks for the info.
