Ingredients:

1 egg
1 1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup sour cream
3 Tbsp. melted butter
1 tsp. vanilla extract
5 cups flour

1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 1/4 cup buttermilk
Oil for frying
Powdered sugar

Cooking Instructions:

In a bowl beat egg, add sugar & sour cream, then stir in butter & vanilla.

In another bowl combine all dry ingredients except powdered sugar. Blend to wet mixture, then stir in buttermilk. Mix well.

Turn onto floured surface. Roll into 1/4 thickness. Cut out donuts.

Heat oil to 375. Fry donuts 2-3 at a time til golden, about two minutes.

Drain on paper towels, dust with powdered sugar.
