Ingredients:
1? pound sirloin or round steak
2 tablespoons oil
2 large onions, sliced
2 medium bell peppers, red or green, cut into ?? strips

Marinade:

? cup vegetable oil
? cup red wine vinegar
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon chili powder
? teaspoon garlic powder
? teaspoon salt
? teaspoon pepper
Cooking Instructions:
Trim excess fat from the beef and cut into thin strips across the grain. Mix all of the ingredients for the marinade and pour into a sealable container. Add the beef strips to the marinade and mix well to coat. Cover and refrigerate at least 8 hours, but not more than 24 hours, turning occasionally.

In a heavy frying pan over medium-high heat, cook onions and peppers in oil for 6-8 minutes. Remove the vegetables and reserve. Remove beef from marinade, pat dry, and brown over medium heat until tender, about 4-5 minutes. Add a little of the marinade mixture, if necessary to prevent sticking. Return vegetables to the frying pan, mix well and heat through. Serve like any other fajita with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, hot sauce, etc.

Additional Comments:
* As an alternative, substitute 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts.
