3/4 cup butter
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cup flour
1/8 tsp salt |
CARAMEL:
sweetened condensed milk
CHOCOLATE TOPPING:
1 bag ghiradelli chocolate chips...i like dark chocolate
3 tbsp butter

Instructions: |
cream butter and sugar. Add the vanilla and flour and salt. press into a 9 inch pan. bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Let cool
while baking cook sweetened condensed milk for an hour on medium, in a double boiler. if you dont have a double boiler, cook on low....stirring often
pour on top of shortbread bars
in a double boiler, melt chocolate chips with butter, stirring often...once all melted, pour on cooled shortbread, over the caramel.
let cool and ENJOY
