Instructions: |
Melt the margarine (I nuke it for a minute or so) and add two cups of cooking oil. I nuke this until it's lukewarm. Add the tabasco sauce and Worcestershire sauce. !/2 of a small bottle of tabasco sauce will make what I consider to be a mild/medium mix. I guess you should start with a half cup of Worcestershire sauce.
Divide the cereal between the two pans. You will have to stir the liquid constantly as you sprinkle about a third over the two pans. Shake chili powder and garlic powder over the pans. Stir, but you must stir like this:
insert a large spoon into the mix all the way to the bottom, push forward gently, then lift and turn the spoon gently toward the inside of the pan. (You might want to practice this before you add the liquid to avoid ceral vulcanism. It's easy to spaz out while you're doing this. My dog waits like a vulture hoping that I will spill some. It has never hurt her, so you can decide about your own fauna.) Go all the way around the edge of the pan like this, then go down the grooves in the bottom of the pan lifting and tuning. Do this twice more, adding chili powder twice, and garlic powder one more. The stirring is important, because that's what gets the liquid and powders evenly distributed. It will not be when you first put it in the oven, but don't worry.
Put the pans in the oven at about 200 degrees, stirring every thirty minutes for two hours. Remember to get the spoon all the way to the bottom of the pan because you are lifting the ingredients up to trickle back down. After two hours add the nuts, and repeat for two more hours. |

Suggestions: |
| Goes well with pop, eggnog, beer, or mixed drinks. Hint: have the drink ready before you start. Warn women, children and sissy men before consumption. |

Comments: |
Sometimes I add extra pecans, walnuts, and/or macadamia nuts if I remember to buy them.
This will make a very large quantity. I don't measure anything, so you will need to adjust quantities to taste. |
