Cooking Instructions:
Here's what I put in our bread maker.

1 Pkg. yeast
1 1/2 c. very warm water

Put 1/2 cup very warm water into the bread maker and sprinkle in the yeast; dissolve.
Add the rest of the water.

1 T. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 T. shortening or oil (I use Crisco butter flavored; melt it first before adding)

Add the remainder of ingredients to the bread maker. Mix by hand.

4 c. flour
Add 2 cups of flour to the bread maker.
Plug in and set the bread maker to French bread, large loaf, light, and press .
Let the bread maker begin to mix the ingredients except the remainder of the flour. When mixed and very sticky, add the remaining 2 cups of flour while the breadmaker is mixing.
Close the lid and wait for the entire cycle, 4 hours, 15 minutes.

Enjoy! I'm making this as I type, and mmmmmBoy does it smell good!
