Hi all:

I had a fairly large rock fall into the middle of my driveway. Does anyone know if there are companies in the area that will come remove them? I am up in the King's Valley area.

Please let me know.

Thanks in advance!!

Matt

I'd check with local landscapers. They might remove it at no cost if you let them keep it to sell to someone who wants a big rock to anchor their landscaping.

Might also call a company that does granite countertops . . . I'll bet that specimen would be GORGEOUS when it's polished. :)

I suspect you'll have to find somebody to drill and blast to break it into manageable pieces.

Weird I've never seen a roadrunner up here.....I fully expect you to see a flatten coyote under that rock once you move it.

Also Driveway Excavation Companies - a rock that big may have to be blasted into smaller pieces, but they will have the equipment, skills, and permits to blast it if the rock overwhelms their equipment

Any way you look at it, it sounds expensive. I wonder if insurance will cover it.

Property insurance, I am 95% sure insurance won't be cover it! It is a natural earth movement. However, check with your insurance carrier for the absolute answer, as every homeowners policy varies by the insurance carrier.

I can vouch for Hal. He is honest and can fix it.

His ad is in Classified Ads, Local Businesses, Phydeaux.
